(J2) Understanding barriers and facilitators to childhood obesity prevention practices in primary care: a systematic review

This is the first mixed-methods systematic review to report on practice patterns of primary care practitioners and their perceived barriers and facilitators of implementation of those practices. There are very few examples of use of the COM-B model for evidence synthesis in a systematic review. This review used the COM-B model to understand the complexity of implementing practices recommended for prevention of early childhood overweight. The evidence synthesised from this review informed the designing of an intervention, to support practices of Health Visitors in an area in England.
