Who doesn’t like playing games? Not a patient laying in hospital bed. Or do they? While serious illnesses are no joke, does that mean motivating patients through games should be a taboo? This presentation will explore research on the concept of gamification in patient self-care education and demonstrate its potential in knowledge translation. Through creating engaging education content motivation to learn may be increased. This is of critical importance for improving outcomes of many serious chronic diseases. This session will attempt to demonstrate that power of gamification in knowledge translation. But remember NO FUN ALLOWED.
