(D2) A collaborative approach to development of an intervention to support Health Visitor practice to prevent early childhood obesity

Integrating end-user involvement in designing a complex intervention maximises acceptability and potential effectiveness. However, there are limited examples that provide detailed guidance for how to do this using a systematic approach. This study describes the stages and methods of incorporating multiple sources of evidence collected from research and professional stakeholders, and use of the Behaviour Change Wheel to design an implementation intervention for Health visitors to support their practices related to prevention of rapid infant weight gain.
