(O1) Lessons learned in the use of participant engagement metrics for online knowledge exchange modalities

The growing use of online knowledge exchange modalities (e.g., social media, webinars, tailored email messages) has prompted the development of numerous participant engagement metrics that are measured either through web-based analytics (such as Google Analytics) or by self-report. This presentation will explore lessons learned and challenges experienced in using self-report and objective metrics for engagement from four studies we conducted to evaluate the impact of online KT strategies to change knowledge, intentions and health behaviours related to physical activity, cancer prevention-related behaviours, and cancer screening.
